I'm going to
show you a basic wire wrap first, then I'll insert instructions for adding
the dangle to a closed ring as they are needed. |
STEP 1Using a 2" headpin, stack some attractive beads - you could use a small lampwork bead and crystals, or here I've used a couple of Swarovski® crystals separated by a pewter heishe. Using your flat nose pliers, grab the headpin just above the top bead... |
STEP 2 Using the round nose pliers, grip the wire a couple of millimeters above the bend. Bend the wire in a fluid motion as shown in the following photographs.
STEP
3You will end up with the wire bent as pictured on the left.
STEP
4Using your flat nose pliers, grip the top of the loop (not too hard, you don't want to scratch it!) and begin wrapping the wire around the vertical part of the headpin. |
STEP
5Be sure to get the first wrap as close to the first bend as you can (where you bent it backwards in step 1b.) |
STEP 6Continue wrapping the wire until you fill up the empty space between the first bend and the top of the first bead. |
STEP 7Using your flush cutters, cut the excess wire as close to the wrap as possible. |
And here's the
dangle attached to the toggle ring - you're done! |
