Where I live in Mississippi is a unique area where the land of the Choctaws and Chickasaws used to meet.  While there isn't much left to mark what once was there, we do still have a few Indian mounds nearby.  The colors and shape of this bead remind me of the land and ways of those who lived here before me.

This bicone is made with an ocher core and accented with silvered ivory, black and turquoise.  It measures 31.5mm from hole to hole and is 16.5mm thick at its widest point.
