This
slim bicone is made using a base of new copper green (or copper
blue-pink, as I call it), copper leaf, swirls of aventurine and
rubino... I may have even used some silver leaf - basically
anything I could get my hands on! It's been crisscrossed
with a fine gauge of pure silver wire that was then melted onto
the surface.
The resulting dark colors have
subtle sparkles from the aventurine. The predominate colors
you see are black, pink and a little of the copper green.
The bead measures 42.5mm long and is 7.25mm on the ends and 10.5mm
in the middle.
I've used 4mm
Sapphire/Heliotrope and 5mm Padparadscha SwarovskiŠ crystals and
antique silver finish pewter heishe for accent.
Amalgam has been
made into a pendant using sterling silver wire and headpins. |
